Huskers Open Fall Season at Midland

The Nebraska women’s tennis team will open its fall season at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas, Sept. 12-14. The Racquet Club Invitational is an NCAA sanctioned event for men and women by invitation only. The four Huskers making their way to Midland include juniors Maggy Lehmicke and Mackenna Maddox, sophomore Lisa Andersson and redshirt freshman Spurti Shivalingaiah.

Matches will begin Friday with singles in the morning and doubles in the afternoon. All four Huskers will be playing both singles and doubles.

The 18 teams that have players participating in the event include Pepperdine, Wichita State, Texas State, Nebraska, Rice, New Mexico , Texas, Tulsa, Abilene Christian, Lamar, Penn State, University of Texas- Arlington, Texas Tech, TCU, North Texas, Texas A&M Kansas , and Baylor .
