On his message to the young team
“Football is football. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing home or away. The only difference is the traveling. Once we get to the hotel it’s our normal routine. It’s no big deal. We don’t change the way we play depending on where we go.”
On the night game at Fresno State
“They (the coaches) keep us busy. They don’t want us running around our hotel. But I would honestly rather play early. I don’t like sitting around all day.”
On the McNeese State game
“We are happy with the result. We got the win, but we didn’t play very well. McNeese (State) outplayed us. It was humbling and a wake-up call.”
On preparation for Fresno State
“We need to change our approach in practice. We can’t take any plays off.”
