Burkett Powell Memorial Golf Tournament Set For Aug. 2

Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska men’s and women’s gymnastics programs will hold the 2014 Burkett Powell Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb. The tournament will include a lunch and team picture with head coaches, a social hour after play concludes, a dinner with silent and live auctions.

There will be a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Entry fee includes green fees, golf cart, sack lunch, drink ticket and dinner after the round. Lunch and dinner will be provided by Greta’s Gourmet. Following dinner there will be a silent auction for Husker items from a wide array of Nebraska teams.

Cost per team is $320 and individual entries will be $85 each. There are limited number of spots available for the event. Checks should be made payable to the Burkett Powell Memorial Golf Tournament with the deadline for entry on July 15th.

The Huskers would also like to invite fans to become a sponsor at the event, with all proceeds going towards both the men’s’ and women’s programs. For $125, you can support the gymnastics program by sponsoring a hole for the annual golf outing. Your company will be prominently displayed on one of the tee boxes, while at the same time contributing to the success in athletics, academics and life of Nebraska’s gymnastics student-athletes.
