In Week 8 of the NFL season, former Nebraska first-time all-conference selection Josh Brown drilled a career-high five field goals in the New York Giants' 15-7 victory over Philadelphia. Brown registered the lone points for the Giants going 5-for-5 from 40, 44, 33, 46, and 27 yards in order.

Lavonte David has become a standout line backer for Tampa Bay after another top performance. David amassed a season-high 12 tackles, including nine solo stops and a 12-yard sack on Thursday night. New England's Alfonzo Dennard posted a career-high nine tackles in the Patriots' 27-17 victory over Miami.
