In Week 7 of the NFL season, former Nebraska student-athlete Roy Helu hit his stride as a running back for the Washington Redskins. Helu racked up a career-high three touchdowns in Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears. Helu scored on a 14-yard run at the start of the second quarter and three-yard touchdown scampers in the third and fourth quarters to give the Redskins a 45-41 victory at home.

Lavonte David had another big day on defense for Tampa Bay with a season-high 10 solo tackles. Kicker Josh Brown made three field goals (23, 35, 36) as the New York Giants earned their first win of the year on Monday night.
