Kingston, Jamaica- Jodi-Rae Blackwood and Dexter McKenzie kicked off competition at the 2013 Jamaican Senior National Championships in Kingston, Jamaica on Thursday.
Blackwood automatically advanced to the 400-meter hurdle finals with a time of 50.98 in the second heat of the preliminaries. He will compete in the finals on Friday.
McKenzie finished with a time of 10.77 in the preliminaries of the 100 meters, but did not advance to the semifinals.
