Q&A with Courtney Aitken

Freshman Courtney Aitken is in her first season with the Huskers in 2012-13, and has earned early playing time because of her athleticism and work ethic. The 5-9 guard from Dannebrog, Neb., was an all-state guard at Centura High School, ranking among the school's all-time leaders in points, rebounds and assists. She's from the same hometown and attended the same high school as former Husker starting point guard Jina Johansen. Her twin brother, Cameron, is also a manager for the Huskers this season.

Courtney took a few minutes out of her schedule to answer some questions to provide a little bit more insight about her life off the court.

Celebrity crush: I know he's long gone but I will always have a crush on Elvis Presley
When you're not competing, you like to: Bake, or relax with family and friends
Superpower you wish you had: Super speed
Pregame rituals: Do some ball-handling and pray
Best friend on the team: Sadie Murren and Rachel Theriot
Best athlete you've competed against: Lindsey Moore
Why you chose Nebraska: Being from Nebraska, it's always been a dream of mine to play for the Huskers! 
Best thing about Nebraska: Living on a farm, working with my dad and the cattle
What you want to do after college: Enter the work force as a dental hygienist and get married
