Q&A with Jackie O'Doherty

Nebraska's Jackie O'Doherty has earned a spot in the the Husker lineup as a redshirt freshman in the fall of 2012. The Lincoln East High School graduate redshirted last season while making the transition to collegiate golf and has provided regular contributions in the Husker lineup this fall.

Jackie took a few minutes out of her schedule to answer a few questions and provide a little more insight about her life off the course.

When you're not competing, you like to: Read - anything anyone recommends I usually try to read.
Superpower you wish you had: Being able to re-do something
Pregame rituals: If I have time in the morning I like to go on a mile run and then just listen to music.
Best friend on the team: All of my teammates.
Why you chose Nebraska: I've grown up in Lincoln my whole life. I love how much support there is (all over Nebraska) for Husker athletics.
Best thing about Nebraska: How pretty much everyone is genuinely nice. The kind of hospitality you find her you don't really find anywhere else.
What you want to do after college: I'm a pre-med/biology major. I want to go to UNMC ideally and then become some kind of a doctor. I shadowed an anesthesiologist and loved it, so that's what I'm leaning toward, but we'll see.
