Taylor Martinez
Junior, Quarterback
On Ohio State's defense last year
"Just like what happened in the last game, we didn't have much momentum, but when we do catch that momentum and figure out what they are doing we won't be stopped."

On the importance of coming out fast against Ohio State
"Very important, just to establish the rhythm of the game and know that we can put points on the board and the defense can stop."

On why the rhythm of the offense struggled against Wisconsin in the first half
"Just the fumbles and stuff. We just kept getting pushed back and couldn't get it going."

On if there is anything the offense does to avoid slow starts
"Not really, just how the game went. You never know how the game will go."

On why the offense had success against Ohio State last year when the offense spread the defense out
"Just what Coach (Tim) Beck sees. We can do a lot of things."

On if he likes the spread offense
"It really doesn't matter to me. I can go under center, or in the gun, just whatever is working."

On the offensive line
"They have been doing a tremendous job all year. They really have been doing good all season long. A bunch of them are coming in and whenever someone new comes in it doesn't seem like anything is missing."

On if he is more competitive going up against Ohio State and Braxton Miller
"Not really, just another game."

On if he can beat Braxton Miller in a foot race
"Can I? I don't know, you guys can choose for yourselves."

On the change of pace between I-backs Ameer Abdullah and Rex Burkhead
"They are very difficult to stop, because they are two different types of runners. They both are great. They can mix up the defense and it is hard to stop."

On senior tight end Ben Cotton
"Him and Kyler (Reed) are great tight ends. They get open. Luckily they are on our team and are great blockers and they can get open."

On if the team is prepared to handle the atmospheres of the Big Ten
"I think so, just because we played in the Big 12 and Big Ten, and our guys are coming back and prepared."
