Huskers Talk Road Test at No. 12 Ohio State

Lincoln - Coach Bo Pelini and members of the Nebraska football team met with the media on Monday at Memorial Stadium to discuss Saturday's Big Ten road opener at No. 12 Ohio State.

Kickoff between the No. 21 Huskers (4-1, 1-0 Big Ten) and No. 12 Buckeyes (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) is set for 7 p.m. (central), with live national television coverage provided by ABC.

Pelini said it would be important for Nebraska to get off to a solid start in its first Big Ten road test against the unbeaten Buckeyes. Last season, the Huskers produced the biggest comeback in school history to rally from 20 points down to beat Ohio State in Lincoln, 34-27, on Oct. 8.

This past Saturday, the Huskers matched the second-biggest comeback in school history by rallying from 17 points down to beat Wisconsin, 30-27, in NU's Big Ten opener.

"I thought our guys were a little too keyed up for the (Wisconsin) game. They maybe got outside of themselves for a minute. I talked with them about it before the game. They didn't have their emotions under control. They are 18-22 year old kids. We didn't play well in the first half, and I thought they did a good job of coming back in the second half. The execution got better as the game went on, but we've got to get that fixed. We're not always going to be able to survive the mistakes we made in that first half."
