In Week 3 of the NFL season, multiple former Huskers played big roles for their teams

New York Jets' guard Matt Slauson helped protect Mark Sanchez who threw for 306 yards and one touchdown in a 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Punter Sam Koch of the Baltimore Ravens changed field postion for the Ravens' defense in a 31-30 win over the New Englad Patriots. Koch booted three punts for an average of 45.3 yards, including two punts that pinned the Patriots inside their own 20 yard line.

Defensively, rookie linebacker Lavonte David (Tampa Bay) led all former Huskers with five total tackles on Sunday, while Scott Shanle (New Orleans) produced four tackles.
