The first road test for the young Nebraska women's basketball team went well as the Huskers defeated Florida A&M 72-64 Friday afternoon in Tallahassee, Fla.  Jordan Hooper, a 6-2 sophomore forward, had 21 points to lead an NU team that had 10 players score in the game. Redshirt freshman Rebecca Woodberry's three-pointer with 1:10 left in clinched the victory for Nebraska, who improved to 5-0 on the season.

The Huskers stay in Tallahassee for the second game of a three-game road trip as they visit Florida State Sunday afternoon. The Seminoles are ranked 24th in the most recent ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll.

FSU has advanced to the last seven NCAA Tournaments and nine consecutive postseasons.  Picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Seminoles were ranked 14th in the preseason Associated Press Poll, but have fallen out of the AP rankings after starting the season 3-3.  FSU owns wins over South Florida, Minnesota and Georgia State and losses to Arkansas, Florida and most recently 85-76 Friday night at home to No. 11 Louisville.

Center Cierra Bravard, a 6-4 senior, is a preseason first-team All-American and is on the prestigious Wade and Wooden Award Watch lists. She has scored in double figures in 27 straight games and had a career-high 27 points in the loss to Louisville Friday night. Bravard leads the team in scoring (15.7 ppg).

Natasha Howard, a 6-3 sophomore, was named to last season's ACC All-Freshman team after averaging 10.6 ppg and 6.6 rpg.  She had 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Louisville Friday night. Howard averages 9.0 points and leads the team in rebounding 9.2 rebounds per game.  Chasity Clayton, a 6-0 junior forward, has started all six games this season for FSU after only starting one game in 2010-11.  She averages 11.5 points per game.

Junior wing Alexa Deluzio led the conference in three-point field goal percentage last season (49 percent) and is currently second on the team in scoring (12.0 ppg).  Junior Leonor Rodriguez rounds out FSU's probable starting lineup.  A native of the Canary Islands, Rodriguez helped lead Spain to a gold medal at the 2011 FIBA U20 European Championship, including nine points and five rebounds in the championship game win over Russia. She had a career-high eight assists against Louisville Friday and averages 2.0 points per game.

Sue Semrau is the winningest coach in FSU history.  Now in her 15th season, she was an assistant coach at Wisconsin and Northern Illinois prior to coming to Tallahassee.  Semrau is a three-time winner of the ACC Coach of the Year. She has a career record of 239-177 at FSU.

Nebraska is 10-1 all-time against Florida schools, with their only loss coming in their only previous meeting with FSU. The Seminoles defeated the Huskers 100-84 on Dec. 31, 1982 at the Miami Dial Classic.
