This month we get to know junior Gina Mancuso. An Omaha, Neb., native, Mancuso is one of the leaders on the 2011 squad. She was recently honored with a Co-Big Ten Player of the Week award for her accomplishments against Penn State on Sept. 21 and Ohio State on Sept. 24. Mancuso leads the team in kills with 149 and has a .336 hitting percentage in 2011 and has totaled five double-doubles on the season.

What you would do with a time machine: I would go back to December and prove that ball was OUT of bounds.

Something a lot of fans wouldn't know about you: I love dancing; I get my moves from my dad.
When you're not competing, you like to: Go on adventures. I do random things.
Superpower you wish you had: I think I would most enjoy flying, but that is a tough choice.
Pregame rituals: Relax, dance a little and pray during the national anthem.
Best athlete you've competed against: I remember the summer of my freshman year Nancy Metcalf was smoking me in sprints! Kayla Banwarth is the best volleyball player I have ever played with though.
Why you chose Nebraska: This is my home, I love being close to family.
What you want to do after college: Play professionally for a couple seasons, then work for Gatorade, hoping to one day be in a commercial.
