Lincoln - The Husker Home Run Club is inviting the public to come out to Hawks Field on Saturday, Sept. 24 to meet the Nebraska baseball team, watch practice and tour the facilities.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will give fans a chance to watch the Huskers practice as the team goes through its 2011 fall drills. Fans will be able to get an inside look at the Nebraska baseball program by touring the locker room and meeting the players and coaches.
The event is free for both Husker Home Run Club members and the general public. The Husker Home Run Club will have membership information for fans that are interested in joining the organization.
The meet-and-greet event is one of the first opportunities to see the 2012 Husker baseball team before its annual three-game Red/White Series, which runs from Thursday, Oct. 6, through Saturday, Oct. 8.
