DeZiel Finishes Strong at Visa Championships

St. Paul, Minn. - Future Husker Jessie DeZiel provided a strong showing at the 2011 Visa Championships at the Xcel Energy Center August 17-20.  

DeZiel finished the four-day competition by coming in at 17th in the all-around (79.20), after posting a 38.80 on the first night and a 40.40 on the second night. DeZiel posted a 26.80 total for vault (12.30, 1450) took 16th on beam (12.50, 13.45) and finished 12th on floor (13.05, 13.40).

A product of Twin City Twisters in Champlin, Minn., DeZiel captured the all-around title at the 2011 J.O. National Championship in Long Beach, Calif. in May. Prior to the Visa Championships, she competed at the 2011 CoverGirl Classic at the end of July.
