Anderson Releases First Album

With the NBA lockout going on, one former Husker basketball player has aspirations in another profession and will put his musical talents on display this week.

Ryan Anderson, who goes by the artist name RyanChristian, will release his first album, entitled Forever, on July 31. He recently started a record label, Very True Records, LLC., and his first album features some Urban/R&B with some hints of smooth jazz and pop.  To hear some tracks from his first album, visit www.RyanChristianMusic.com.

Albums can be ordered through the site and digital downloads will also be available through iTunes and CDBaby. The upcoming album will be sold in Lincoln at the record store, The 402, in the Lincoln Gateway Mall, as well as Barnes and Noble near 48th and O St.

Anderson will be a part of the Jamming for Jesus concert on Sunday, July 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Bible Truth Ministries (2402 Franklin St., Bellevue).  Anderson will be one of 10 groups performing at the free concert, covering a wide range of music.

Anderson, who played at Nebraska for four seasons (2007-10) and ranks 23rd in school history with 1,125 career points, spent last season playing professionally in Holland and Germany and is continuing to prepare for the NBA Developmental League Draft in November. He also received interest in training camps of several NBA teams before the lockout began earlier this month.
