Tickets Still Available for China Match

Lincoln - Tickets are still available for Nebraska's volleyball match this Saturday with Tianjin Bridgestone, one of the top professional teams in China. It will be the Huskers third and final match of the spring and is set for 7 p.m. at the NU Coliseum.

Tianjin Bridgestone will provide Nebraska its toughest test of the spring as Tianjin recently won its fifth straight and eighth overall Chinese League Championship. Tianjin plays a fast tempo game and has two Olympians on its squad. Li Shan was a member of the 2004 gold-medal team and Li Juan played on the 2008 squad that earned bronze. Wang Qian has also played on the national team and is the daughter of Wang Baoquan, who is the team's Head of Delegation and was the head coach of the Chinese National Team from 2008 to 2010.

During its trip to the U.S., Tianjin has already played Illinois and has matches remaining with Kansas State, Creighton, Nebraska, Colorado State, NORCO Club, Laguna Beach Club and UC Irvine. Even though the Huskers and Tianjin Bridgestone are from different sides of the globe, the teams should see some familiar faces as Nebraska played several matches against Tianjin during its trip to China last summer.

Tickets for the match at the NU Coliseum are currently on sale at Huskers.com, by calling the NU Ticket Office at 800-8BIGRED or by visiting the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office in person weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Reserved tickets are $10 with GA tickets set at $8. All currently enrolled UNL students are eligible to receive one free ticket to each match, but must secure a ticket in advance either online at Huskers.com, by phone at 472-3111 or in person at the Athletic Ticket Office located just west of Memorial Stadium, while supplies last.
