Lincoln - The Husker Sports Network announced on Friday that it will carry Nebraska's spring volleyball match on Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m. against Iowa State on Huskers.com. John Baylor will have the call from the NU Coliseum with Diane Mendenhall providing the color.
The Huskers and Cyclones met twice during Nebraska's final Big 12 season in 2010, with the Huskers winning both meetings. NU opened Big 12 play in with a 3-1 win in Ames and then swept the Cyclones at home later in the season.
The two teams have already agreed to continue a series that spans 79 matches and dates back to 1975, as the two teams will meet in non-conference action next season. The match is slated for Saturday, Sept. 17 and will be played at the Devaney Center in Lincoln. A time for the match will be announced after kickoff is set for Nebraska's football game against Washington.
Nebraska will also be at home on Saturday, April 23 when it hosts Tianjin Bridgestone, one of the top professional teams in China, at 7 p.m.
Tickets for both the Iowa State and Tianjin matches can be purchased at Huskers.com, by calling the NU Ticket Office at 800-8BIGRED or by visiting the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office in person weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Reserved tickets are $10 with GA tickets set at $8.
