Nebraska will hit the road for the second straight weekend when they travel to Stillwater, Okla., and Austin, Texas, for a pair of matches against two Big 12 foes. The Huskers are coming off a tough loss last weekend to No. 5 Texas A&M, 6-1. The Huskers enter the weekend with a record of 14-8 and 0-2 in Big 12 play.

The Huskers first match of the weekend will be against Oklahoma State at the DeBois Tennis Complex. The match will be Friday, April 15, and will begin at 11 a.m. Oklahoma State has a record of 5-10 on the year and are 0-4 in Big 12 play.

After their match Friday, the Huskers will then travel to Austin, Texas to face No. 11 Texas. The Longhorns are 16-6 on the year and have a 2-2 mark in Big 12 play. The match will be on Sunday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

History with the Cowboys
Last season the No. 49 Oklahoma State Cowboys traveled to Lincoln where they were defeated by the Huskers, 4-3. The Huskers started the match by losing the doubles point, but rallied back to win four of the six singles matches to clinch the win. The victory over the was the first Big 12 win for NU since 2007.

History with the Longhorns
No. 3 Texas traveled to Lincoln last April and got the better of the Huskers, 5-2. The Huskers two points came in singles play at the No. 3 and No. 6 spots by Benedikt Lindheim and Andre Stenger, respectively.

Scouting the Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State enters Friday's match with a 5-10 overall record, while going 0-4 in Big 12 play. The Cowboys and Huskers have had two common opponents on the season thus far in UNLV and Texas A&M. Oklahoma State defeated UNLV, 4-3, and were downed by the Aggies, 7-0. Playing at the No. 1 spot for the Cowboys will most likely be freshman Maniel Bains, who has played all 12 matches there. Bains has a record of 2-10. James Wadley coaches the Cowboys and is in this 39th season at the helm.

Scouting the Texas Longhorns
Texas enters Sunday's match coming off a win over in-state rival Texas Tech. The Longhorns defeated the Red Raiders last Sunday, 4-2, to improve their record to 16-6 on the year with a 2-2 mark in Big 12 play. The Longhorns have four players ranked. The four include No. 33 Ed Corrie, No. 49 Kellen Damico, No. 107 Jean Anderson and No. 122 Daniel Whitehead. Texas is coached by Michael Center who is in his 11th season as head coach.

Huskers Drop One Spot in Latest Rankings
In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings released on April 12, the Huskers dropped one spot to No. 38. Nebraska is one of six Big 12 teams that are ranked in the ITA top 50. The other five teams include: No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 7 Baylor, No. 11 Texas, No. 22 Texas Tech and No. 26 Oklahoma.

The Huskers have on player ranked in the latest ITA singles rankings. The lone player is No. 75 Christopher Aumueller.

Last Week: Huskers Fall to No. 5 Texas A&M
Nebraska began last Sunday's match against Texas A&M losing the doubles point and wasn't able to fight back losing the match, 6-1.

The Aggies were ranked at all three spots in doubles play and won all three matches.  

In singles play, the Huskers picked up their lone point of the match at the No. 3 spot when Benedikt Lindheim defeated Alexey Grigorov, 3-6, 6-3, 10-4.

Playing at the No. 1 spot for the Huskers was Cain Paar, who was defeated by Texas A&M's Austin Krajicek, 6-2, 6-1. The Aggies' Jeff Dadamo downed Christopher Aumueller, 6-4, 6-0. Aumueller was playing at the No. 2 spot.

At the No. 4 spot, the Aggies' Alexis Klegou defeated Andre Stenger in three set, 1-6, 6-3, 7-5. Sebastian Florczyk played at the No. 5 spot in the Huskers' line-up, however, Texas A&M's Colin Hoover got the best of Florczyk, 6-1, 6-1. Junior Ore of Texas A&M defeated Nebraska's Tom Blackwell, 6-2, 6-7 (1), 10-7.
