Delray Beach, Fla. – The Nebraska men’s golf team heads south for the Florida Atlantic Spring Break Championship on Friday, hoping to continue their success from last week’s Jackrabbit Invitational.
The Huskers, who shot a season-best three-round score of 849 in Nevada last week, produced a fourth place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational. NU heads to Gleneagles Country Club, a 6,750-yard, par-72 layout, to compete in the third annual Spring Break Championship this weekend, marking their first time competing in the event.
A slew of Big Ten teams including Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin are among the 17 teams competing this weekend. The field also features four Big East representatives: Connecticut, DePaul, Marquette and South Florida.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament starts on Friday with tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m. (Central Time). Play on Saturday will also tee off at 10:30 a.m., with the final 18 holes starting at on Sunday at 7 a.m.
