Huskers Ranked No. 29 by Collegiate Baseball

Lincoln - Following its series win over No. 5 UCLA, the Nebraska baseball team has entered Collegiate Baseball's national rankings at No. 29 this week. It marks the first time the Huskers have been ranked since June of 2008 when NU finished the season 41-15-1 and hosted an NCAA Regional.

Nebraska (8-4), which is also receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 coaches' poll, has won three of its last four games, including extra-inning thrillers against the fifth-ranked Bruins last weekend at Hawks Field. Sophomore second baseman Bryan Peters had a walk-off single in the 12th inning Saturday and then gave NU the series win with an 11th-inning walk-off homer Sunday.

The Huskers are in the middle of a home-heavy month as they play 15 games at Hawks Field in March. Tuesday's originally-scheduled contest vs. Doane has been moved to March 30 due to weather.

The Huskers host No. 20Fresno State this weekend at Hawks Field as the series kicks off Friday at 1:35 p.m. Tickets for all games can be purchased online at Huskers.com, by calling 1-800-8-BIG-RED or by visiting the NU Athletic Ticket Office on the west side of Memorial Stadium.
