Tickets to attend the Feb. 18 Nebraska Men's Basketball 2011 Hall of Fame Banquet are now available to the general public, but must be ordered by Monday, Feb. 14.
Nebraska standout forward Bruce Chubick (1991-94) will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the banquet and will be among four who will be honored both that night and at Nebraska's game the next day against national power Texas.
Former Husker player Albert Maxey Sr. (1959-60) will be honored as the Whitehead Distinguished Alumni Award winner at the banquet, and Nebraska basketball supporters Harley and Marcia Bergmeyer will be honored as the Bud Cuca Special Merit Award winners. As part of the Hall of Fame class, Maxey and the Bergmeyers will be honored both at the banquet and at the Texas game.
All four honorees will be recognized during pregame ceremonies for the 12:30 p.m. game against Texas. A special Hall of Fame tribute will include former Husker Hall of Fame players that will attend the Texas game in support of the 2011 class. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by noon for this special presentation.
Friday's banquet begins at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Station in the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln. Cost for the banquet is $30 per person, with reservations due by Monday, Feb. 14 at noon.
Fans are encouraged to reserve banquet spots while space is available. Banquet parking is available in the metered parking lot south of Lincoln Station (free after 6 p.m.) or in the adjacent north lot at minimal cost. Attire for the evening is business dress.
