Huskers Host Annual Red vs. White Meet

Lincoln - The Nebraska track and field team will welcome fans to come out and watch its annual Red vs. White Intrasquad Meet on Friday, Dec. 10. The upcoming 2011 season marks the Huskers last season in the Big 12 Conference where they have won a conference-best 22 team titles, including the last two men's outdoor crowns.

The team would like to invite the whole family to come, as admission is free.  For youth (8th grade and under), there will be a chance to show off their speed in the Little Huskers youth 200-meter and Little Husker youth 60-meter dashes. Prior to the meet, there will be Valentino's pizza and water for the first 150 youth.  Pizza and water will be handed out starting at 5 p.m. by the Devaney Center Indoor Track north entrance.

Pre-registration for the Little Huskers races can be done by sending an e-mail with youth's name, age, elementary school and city to mshreve@huskers.com.  In the e-mail, please include the race(s) they would like to run (Little Huskers 60 meter dash, Little Huskers 200 meter dash or both). There will be a few open spaces to sign up for that night but we encourage people to pre-register.
