Huskers Meet with Media in Kansas City

Kansas City - Nebraska basketball coach Doc Sadler and Husker basketball players Lance Jeter and Brandon Richardson met with the media at the Sprint Center Wednesday as part of Big 12 Media Day.

The Huskers met with over 200 media members in attendance, including appearances on various ESPN-related platforms, visiting with Fox Sports Net and also doing local and national radio and television interviews throughout the morning.

Sadler hit on a number of topics during his press session, including the biggest difference between last year's squad and the 2010-11 Huskers, which returns four players who started at least 15 games a year ago.

"I think (this team) has a chance to be as good of a basketball team as we've had since I have been at Nebraska," Sadler said. "For the first time, we've got good perimeter players with some inside guys with some experience at the same time."

Sadler also touched on other topics including the development of sophomore forward Brandon Ubel, how the increased size on the interior will help on defense, the arrival of junior college transfer Andre Almeida, the importance of point guard Lance Jeter and his thoughts on the Huskers' final year of Big 12 play.
