On how he felt after the Big 12 Championship Game last year
"I was replaying it a lot, just because I believe I could have scored and we could have won. Like I said, we've just been focusing a lot on the season period. You can't not think about this game and have a little feeling about it from last year."
On the bracelets with one second written on them
"I still have them. A lot of the coaches do still. I don't take it off. I keep them both on. I look at it before every game, just to see the finish part, play every game and finish every play."
On who got them for the team
"Will Richards, I think his dad made them for everyone."
On if it was tied directly to the Big 12 Championship
"I think that was the point of it. It's the only thing I think of."
On if there is any luster lost from the game
"I don't think it matters. They're Texas. They have lost two and they're going to be coming here ready to play and get a win, especially against us."
On if he sees a weakness in Texas that they can exploit
"Not really, I think they're a good football team. They showed that last year, and this year I think they are a good football team still."
On Texas' secondary
"They're some good, fast guys there. I think we have physical guys on our offensive side with the receivers. We're going to see."
On Nebraska's secondary
"I think our secondary is the best. We go against them every day. I don't think anyone is better. We've prepared ourselves through spring and fall camp. There is no competition."
On if the coaches have downplayed the Texas aspect of the game
"We're just going in and scouting like we do every week. They're acting the same way, and we should do the same. It's just another game. We're going to go out, think about ourselves. It's about us anyway at the end of the day, putting our work out there and playing hard, finishing."
On if the feel of Texas is different this year
"We know it's Texas and we know what we have to do to win. Nothing has changed really. We all know what we have to do."
On if it is realistic to treat it like a different game
"I guess you could say a tad. It's just another game. We're going to come out and execute like we should. We're not going to play this game any harder than another. We have to play them all the exact same to win them all."
On if switching conferences gives them extra motivation
"We just want to go out with a bang. At the same time, the conference thing, I don't think it matters. We're just playing football. I don't think it matters who we are going against. We feel like we should dominate any opponent. I don't think it's that big of an issue, really. Coming into the season we had a target on our back because we're leaving and a lot of people are upset about that, but we're just going to play every game the same."
On it being the last time Nebraska will probably play Texas
"Not really, I haven't even thought that far into it. We're just going to go in and play this game, just like any other."
On if he thinks Texas will make Taylor Martinez throw the ball more
"I think so. We're going to see. We'll game plan. If we run the ball, we'll keep blocking and go from there."
On how good Texas' secondary is
"They're some pretty good guys, very fast guys. Like I said, I think we're a physical group and we'll just see how it will play out."
On how Texas' secondary played against them last year
"They played us all right. I think we still made big plays. If we open up the passing you'll see how good they are."
