Huskers Talk Texas Tuesday

Lincoln - Coach Bo Pelini and members of the Nebraska football team met the media on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium to talk about Saturday's Big 12 showdown with Texas.

The No. 5 Huskers will take on the Longhorns at Memorial Stadium with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff scheduled to be televised live regionally by ABC and ESPN HD.

Nebraska, which received a No. 4 national ranking and two first-place votes in this week's USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, heads into Saturday's game with a 5-0 record and 1-0 Big 12 mark after a 48-13 win at Kansas State. Texas is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12 following a loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry two weeks ago in Dallas.

Saturday's game between two of college football's winningest programs will be a rematch of the 2009 Big 12 Championship Game, which was won by Texas on a field goal as time expired.

Pelini said the Huskers' focus is fully on this week's meeting with Texas and not on any other game Nebraska has played against the Longhorns.

"Last year's game has nothing to do with this Saturday. Nothing," Pelini said. "That has nothing to do with it. It's different players, different teams, different time, and nothing that happened last year is going to impact what happens on Saturday. Nothing. It's going to be won in-between the lines on Saturday."
