Former Huskers Named to Bowlers Journal International All-America Team

Lincoln- Bowlers Journal International has just announced their 2010 All-America team and among the five members included is former Nebraska Cornhusker bowlers Diandra Asbaty and Shannon Pluhowsky.

Other bowlers named to the 2010 list include Liz Johnson, Kelly Kulick and Stephanie Nation.  

Asbaty bowled with the Cornhuskers until 2002, while Pluhowsky was a member of the team until 2005.

Both bowlers garnered awards while at Nebraska including Asbaty being named the 2002 Student/Athlete of the Year and Pluhowsky being named the 2004 Lincoln Journal Star Athlete of the Year. During their time at Nebraska, they combined for 17 individual tournament titles spanning from 1999-2004. Both Asbaty and Pluhowsky are previous National Collegiate Bowlers of the Year and share a combined four Husker NCAA National Championships.
