Huskers Continue Fall Camp With Ninth Practice

Lincoln- The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team practiced for two hours in full pads on Saturday morning at the Ed and Joyanne Gass field outside of the Hawks Championship Center. This practice, however, had a few select players missing, Head Coach Bo Pelini noted.

"First, I want to mention we had two guys who graduated today," Pelini told. "We have Mike Smith, who obviously wasn't at practice today because of the injury situation, and Mike McNeill who we gave the day off for his graduation day."

Saturdays practice had a little bit of everything for the Huskers, who were able to do a bit of scrimmaging.

"We practiced a little bit," Pelini said. "We scrimmaged for a good hour and got a good amount of reps in. I saw some good things on both sides and I saw some sloppy things on both sides. We are about right where I thought we would be right now. It wasn't good enough to play championship football right now, but that is why we are in camp and that is why we are practicing.

The Huskers will get a day off on Sunday, and hit the practice field again on Monday with their 10th and 11th practices.
