Huskers Kick Off Camp with Fan Day

Lincoln - Nearly 7,000 Nebraska football fans flocked to Memorial Stadium on Saturday morning for the Huskers' annual Fan Day.

Nebraska players and coaches were all on hand to sign autographs for fans of all ages, who rushed the field when gates opened at 9:30 a.m. The line of autograph seekers for Coach Bo Pelini stretched for nearly 200 yards, and the lines for Nebraska's position players were also packed.

However, fans waited patiently throughout the morning and enjoyed sunny skies, a light breeze and temperatures in the low-80s.

Following Fan Day, several Nebraska players met with members of the media to discuss the start of fall camp, which begins with NU's first practice today at 3:30 p.m.
