Huskers to Host Alumni Weekend

The Nebraska softball team will host an alumni weekend in conjunction with the Huskers’ doubleheader exhibition against all-stars from the National ProFastpitch league on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Alumni are invited to attend the end of Nebraska’s practice on Friday, Oct. 1, before participating in a slow-pitch game at Bowlin Stadium and a social gathering later that evening. On Saturday, alumni will get a tour of athletic facilities and a pre-game tailgate before being introduced with the current Huskers prior to the doubleheader. Saturday night, a barbecue will be held before a scheduled golf outing on Sunday wraps up the weekend festivities.

Alumni interested in attending the festivities should RSVP to Sheena Lawrick at slawrick@huskers.com. Alumni family and guests are also welcome to attend, but please include their names on your RSVP.

Friday, Oct. 1
5 p.m. ? Watch end of Husker practice
5:30 p.m. ? Meet the Huskers and tour Bowlin Stadium
6:30 p.m. ? Alumni slow-pitch game at Bowlin Stadium
8 p.m. ? Social gathering at Barry’s (9th & Q)

 

Saturday, Oct. 2
11:30 a.m. ? Tour of athletic facilities, beginning at Hawks Championship Center
