Nietfeldt, Coatman Finish in Top Three at Nebraska Amateur

Omaha - Andy Sajevic shot a two-under-par 69 to hold off former Husker Ryan Nietfeldt and current Husker senior Mike Coatman to win the Nebraska Amateur Championship Thursday afternoon at Happy Hollow Club.

Sajevic, a golfer for the Charlotte 49ers, rallied from four strokes down at the beginning of the day to edge Nietfeldt by two strokes. Sajevic finished at two-under-par 282. Nietfeldt entered the day with a four-stroke lead but suffered a 75 on Thursday to finish at even-par 284.

Coatman, who started the day six shots back, played strong early on and crept within one stroke of the lead thanks to three birdies on the front nine. However, Coatman was five-over-par on the back nine to finish at four-over-par 286, tying John Sajevic for third place.
