Coatman Leads at Halfway Point of Nebraska Amateur Championship

Omaha - Nebraska men's golfer Mike Coatman leads by two strokes at the halfway point of the 102nd Nebraska Amateur Championship at the Happy Hollow Club on Tuesday.

The Lincoln Southwest product is at four-under-par 138, two shots ahead of former Husker Ryan Nietfeldt, who won the Amateur Championship in 2002. Coatman and Nietfeldt will tee off at 10:58 a.m. on Wednesday in the third round's final pairing. The final round will be played on Thursday. 

Coatman was the only player to shoot under par on Tuesday, as the senior notched a three-under-par 68. Fellow Husker Brett Sundberg is tied for seventh at 149 (+7). Austin Zimmerman and Jordan Reinertson also made the cut.
