Football 202 Takes Fans behind the Scenes for All-Day Session on July 27

Think you'd enjoy spending a day with Nebraska Head Football Coach Bo Pelini and his staff? Ever wondered what all goes in to Game Day preparations?

You're in luck. Bo's third annual Football 202 is a cool thing to do on Tuesday, July 27, at Memorial Stadium, and this year's focus on Game Day preparations includes insight into game planning, scouting reports, film study and much more.

"Football 202 is a great opportunity for Nebraska fans to get an inside look into our football program," Pelini said. "We let people go behind the scenes a little bit with our staff, and hopefully they leave with a better understanding of how Nebraska football operates on a daily basis."

In addition to hearing from Coach Pelini and other members of the Husker coaching staff, several special guests, including former Husker Ahman Green, are expected to be a part of Football 202.

Green is the second-leading rusher in Nebraska history (1995-97) and has played 12 seasons in the National Football League. Last fall, Green became the Green Bay Packers' all-time rushing leader, and the Omaha native recently signed to play with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

Football 202 also will include the opportunity to watch the 2010 Huskers work out under the direction of NU Head Football Strength Coach James Dobson.

The full day will conclude with a social gathering from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with members of the staff in attendance.

For advance planners, the tentative Football 202 schedule is: 7:30-8:30 a.m.-Registration; 8:30-11:45 a.m.-Morning program; 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.-Lunch; 1-5:30 p.m.-Afternoon program;  5:30-7 p.m.-Social.

The cost of the event is $274, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, a shirt, and the social event.
