Tate Named to Texas Collegiate League All-Star Game

Lincoln - University of Nebraska right-hander Khris Tate was honored Thursday with a selection to the Texas Collegiate League All-Star game next Monday night in Victoria, Texas.

Tate, a rising senior at Nebraska, is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA in five starts for East Texas PumpJacks. He has allowed just 13 hits and has fanned 19 over 20 innings of work while holding opponents to a .178 batting average. Currently, East Texas is in third place with a 13-9 record, one game behind the Victoria Generals.

As a junior, Tate was 2-2 with a 4.99 ERA in 15 appearances, including six starts for the Huskers this spring.
