Bremerton, Wash. - After a 90-minute rain delay to start the day, Nebraska's Brandon Crick came out and shot a two-under-par 70 at the NCAA West Regional at the Gold Mountain Golf Club Olympic Course on Thursday, good for a tie for third heading into Friday's second round.
Crick is one stroke behind the leaders, Dustin Morris of Colorado State and Espen Kofstad of Denver. Crick, who earned a spot to compete as an individual at the regional based on his play throughout the season, is tied with two other golfers for third place.
Washington leads the team race after shooting a 286 in the first round. Colorado State and Oregon State are tied for second at 291. Illinois is fourth at 293 and San Diego is fifth at 294. The top five teams advance to the NCAA Championships, along with the top individual competitor not on one of those five teams.
