Crick Set to Compete at NCAA West Regional

Brandon Crick will compete as an individual at the NCAA West Regional at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., this Thursday through Saturday. Crick will partake in the 54-hole event for a chance to move on to the NCAA Championships.

Crick earned the No. 3 individual seed in the field after a strong season in which the Huskers as a team fell just short of earning an NCAA bid. The senior from McCook led NU with a 72.27 stroke average on the season and earned first-place finishes at the Jackrabbit Invitational and Mizzou Intercollegiate, leading NU to victories in both events. Crick earned five top-five finishes on the season and scored 19 rounds under par.

Crick will tee off at Noon (Central time), along with Loyola-Maryland's Patrick McCormick and Washington State's Kevin Tucker. Thirteen teams are competing in the field and the top five will move on to the NCAA Championships along with the top individual not from one of those five teams. Those who advance will join the top five teams from each of the other five regionals being played this week.

The NCAA Championships will be held June 1-6 at The Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn.
