Quarterback Zac Lee, offensive lineman D.J. Jones and defensive back Anthony West were the three returning players who picked up their degrees and will play 2010 as graduate students. Fellow 2010 senior Tyrone Fahie had previously earned his bachelor's degree giving Nebraska four returning players who have already graduated.
Other graduates from the Nebraska football program included 2009 seniors Chris Brooks, Wes Cammack and Jacob Hickman, along with former Huskers Shukree Barfield, Armando Murillo and John Reece.
Since Coach Bo Pelini took over the Nebraska program, 28 of 34 seniors who have completed their eligibility have also earned their degrees with at least one more player scheduled to earn his degree this August.
