Huskers Head to Texas for Two Matches
The Nebraska women's tennis team looks to hold on to its second-place spot in the Big 12 standings this weekend as it takes on two of the top teams in the conference in tough road matches. The 17-3 Huskers travel to No. 20 Texas on Friday and then play at No. 34 Texas A&M on Saturday. All three teams have just one loss in the conference standings.

The Huskers split a pair of matches last weekend, rallying to defeat Texas Tech 4-3 on Friday, then losing to No. 1 Baylor 6-1 on Sunday, NU's first Big 12 loss of the season. NU wrapped up its home schedule with those two matches, finishing the year with a 14-2 record at the Nebraska Tennis Center.

Texas is ranked No. 20 in the latest ITA rankings, having won their last three matches. The Longhorns have a 5-1 conference record, which ties them with Texas A&M for third in the conference, behind Nebraska and Baylor. The Huskers have never beaten the Longhorns, coming up empty in 14 career matches between the schools. Nebraska then travels to College Station the next day to take on Texas A&M, which comes in at No. 34 in the rankings. The Huskers are 3-12 all-time against the Aggies, with their last win coming in 2006.

The Huskers close out their regular season next weekend with matches at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
