West Lafayette, Ind. - Nebraska senior Kaitlin Arntz returned from the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday after competing in three different events on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. Arntz was the first Husker to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Lauren Bailey in 2007.
Arntz swam in the 200-yard IM on Thursday, where she finished 61st in the field with a time of 2:05.22. On Friday, Arntz swam the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:02.53, coming in 39th overall. She finished with the 200-yard breaststroke on Saturday, finishing 41st with a time of 2:14.83.
Arntz finishes her career as one of the most accomplished swimmers in Nebraska history. She was a 10-time scorer at the conference meet in her career, including three top-six finishes in 2010. She also owns the school's third-fastest times in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM.
