Smyrna, Tenn. - After two days of tournament play, the Nebraska bowling team is in first place at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic.
After Friday's six team games and Saturday's six Baker games, the Huskers are 192 pins in front of 2009 Music City Champions Vanderbilt. Arkansas State is 339 pins behind Nebraska, while Sacred Heart is in fourth.
Today's bowling began at 8:30 in a Baker-style bracket format that will be double-elimination, best of four games. Nebraska and Vanderbilt will square off, while Arkansas State meets Sacred Heart. The format is similar to the 2010 NCAA Championship, where a team can lose the opening round but still come back to win the tournament.
