After helping the Americans to the 2010 CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship last month in Guatemala, Nebraska forward Morgan Marlborough and the U.S. Women's National Team will compete in a four-nation tournament this week in La Manga, Spain.
The United States will be challenged against Under-23 National Teams from Norway, England and Germany to begin its preparations for the 2010 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup this summer in Germany.
Marlborough was selected to the 18-player roster that begins its quest for the La Manga Cup on Monday, Feb. 22 against Norway, while also facing Germany (Feb. 24) and England (Feb. 26) later in the week.
A native of Lee's Summit, Mo., Marlborough played in only one game in the 2010 CONCACAF Women's Championship last month, as she battled sickness. However, the Husker forward made the most of her short opportunity by netting the game-winning goal and adding an assist in the United States' 4-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago.
