The fourth consecutive crowd of over 10,000 (10,998) was on-hand Wednesday night to watch the 3rd-ranked Nebraska Women's Basketball team win their school-record 24th game of the season. The 60-50 win over #13 Iowa State extended the Huskers' Big 12 Conference season-opening win streak to 24 and kept NU three games ahead in the win column in first place in the league standings. It was a breakout game for 5-9 freshman point guard Lindsey Moore. She hit a career-high four three-pointers and scored a career-best and game-high 18 points as Nebraska completed a season sweep of the Cyclones. 6-2 National Player of the Year candidate Kelsey Griffin posted her 14th double-double this season and 34th of her career in the win with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Next up for the Huskers is a 1:05 p.m. Saturday rematch with the Colorado Buffaloes.

Colorado is winless since losing to Nebraska 80-64 on January 30 in Boulder. That was loss three of a now-seven game CU losing streak. The Buffaloes lost at home 79-72 to Kansas Tuesday night. On the season, Colorado is 12-12 and in 11th place in the Big 12 with a 2-9 league mark.

6-1 junior forward Brittany Spears leads CU in almost every statistical category except three-point field goals. She averages a team-leading 17.2 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 32.6 minutes per game and also leads the team in steals. Spears just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds in the first meeting with the Huskers. 5-9 senior guard Bianca Smith leads the Big 12 Conference with 66 three-point field goals. She drew just her second start of the season in CU's last game against Kansas and played 36 minutes, scoring 14 points. Smith is second on the team in scoring this season (12.6 ppg). 5-10 freshman guard Chucky Jeffery posted a 14-point, 11-rebound effort against NU in the previous game in Boulder. She is third on the team in scoring (10.1 ppg) and leads the team in assists. 5-10 sophomore guard Alyssa Fressle adds 6.9 ppg. A 2009 Big 12 All-Rookie team selection, she had 12 points in the loss to Kansas Tuesday night and has scored in double figures in three straight games. 6-4 senior center Courtney Dunn rounds out Colorado's probable starting lineup. She has started all but one game this season and averages 6.5 ppg.

Fifth-year Colorado Coach Kathy McConnell-Miller is 64-83 in Boulder and has a 10-year career record of 155-171, including her time as the coach at the University of Tulsa.

CU leads the all-time series with Nebraska 39-27, but the Huskers have won 10 of the last 12 games. NU also has won five straight at the Devaney Center, including a 75-64 decision on March 3, 2009.
