Huskers Clash With Cyclones on Senior Day
The Nebraska swimming and diving team wraps up its home schedule on Saturday with a dual against Big 12 opponent Iowa State at 1 p.m. The Huskers will honor seven seniors as they participate in their final home meet of their careers, including Kaitlin Arntz, Colleen Criss, Karen Criss, Hailey Dean, Mariah Hutchinson, Kelsey Ida and Sarah Ziegelmann.

The Huskers enter the meet with a 3-2 dual record, including 0-1 in the Big 12. NU kicked off the new year two weeks ago against Kansas, losing to the Jayhawks in Lawrence. The team will look to rebound against the Cyclones and even up its Big 12 record.

The Huskers have one final dual to wrap up its season, as it travels to Columbia, Mo., to face Missouri on Feb. 6. Nebraska will then have two weeks off before heading to College Station, Texas, for the Big 12 Championships from Feb. 24-27.

Pool Points
+  Although senior Mariah Hutchinson didn't record any event wins against Kansas, she had three second-place finishes, giving her an impressive 17 top-two finishes on the year, including 10 first-place finishes, both tops on the team.

+  The Huskers had one of their more memorable wins of the 2008-09 season last year against Iowa State. After trailing 137-127 going into the final two events of the day, the Huskers rallied to take the top three spots in the 200-yard IM and the top spot in the 400-yard freestyle relay to secure the 156-144 victory.

+  Nebraska has a chance to earn its fourth home dual win of the year on Saturday, which would be the second time in the last three years that it reached the four-win mark.
