On how easy it is to focus on Colorado
“It’s Colorado. We want to go after Colorado. I don’t think there will be any problem getting guys to focus on the game coming up. One of our team goals was to dominate the Big 12 North, not just win it, so I think we would be remiss in our goals if we didn’t approach this like any other game we have.”

On what brings out energy in the players for the Colorado game

“I know it’s a red-letter game for them and they always play us hard every time they come out, regardless of their record. Every year I’ve played them, it’s always been a hard-fought game. That’s just kind of the way it goes. We know that, and I think we all realize that and that’s why we have to make sure we step our game up, too.”

On how big of a letdown a loss would be in Boulder

“I don’t think that would be good for our (momentum) swing going into the next week. I definitely would think it would be a lot better for us going in to Dallas with a win, rather than a loss. You never want to have a negative momentum swing going into a big game like that.”

On what Coach Bo Pelini told the team about not looking ahead to the Texas game
“He basically yesterday walked in and said, ‘I don’t want to hear a word about it. We’re playing Colorado. Period.’ He’s pretty straight forward about that kind of stuff. That’s the way it goes.”

On if looking ahead will be an issue with the players
“I don’t think it would be. Based on the fact that it is Colorado, we want to beat Colorado every chance we get. They’re our North Division rival and we want to beat the North. Even though we have the championship, we still want to go out there and win this weekend. It very well could give us good momentum going into the next week with a good win here.”
