On how focused Coach Bo Pelini is on this week
“Obviously we can’t get ahead of ourselves. We’ve clinched the North, but we still have another game and we don’t want to go in there and lay a goose egg, just go in there and screw up. We can’t worry about Texas, can’t think about them yet, and you know we’re not going to.”

On what kind of a momentum-killer a loss would be

“I think it would be tough. With this team, obviously we’ve got some resilient guys. It’s not like it would end anything for us, but at the same time we want to go in with momentum, go in playing well. A loss would be pretty tough.”

On the short week

“It just changes the schedule a little bit. I don’t think it will affect the playing too much. I think playing in Boulder will be more effective, just because the air up there is more of a game-changer than just one day less of rest. I don’t think it will be that big of a deal though.”

On why he’s been getting the ball more lately

“Just the way things have played out. When you run the ball a little bit better, the play-action opens up more. The last couple games I’ve caught a little bit more of the bootlegs and that just comes off running the ball better.”

On what has set up the bootleg
“Anytime you’re running the ball well, obviously teams are going to be susceptible to the play-action. We’ve been running the ball pretty well lately. That’s been a big focus. It’s kind of a change of pace and it just catches them off guard.
