The Fast Lane - Baylor Preview

Two weeks have gone by and boy have things changed. Prior to the Texas Tech game there were screams of “we’re back!” coming from different corners Husker Nation. Well, a slow start and 8 turnovers later Nebraska has their backs against the wall. This is a week that will determine the toughness of this team. I have raved about it all season long. I have commented on how mature this team has seemingly become since Bo Pelini took over. If this team wants to remain a contender in the North race then they’ll need to prove me right down the stretch.

I think that the Huskers are in much better shape than some would have you believe. They lost in a fluke-type game a week ago and just got beat by Texas Tech. Even though some people are writing this team’s obituary ? I’ll remind them and you that this team is only two plays away from being 6-1 right now.

Who starts at QB? Bo Pelini has held his cards close this week. Don’t be surprised if the freshman gets a chance though. He’s made progress every week and the mere fact that this staff never came out and declared Zac Lee the starter leads me to believe they’re seriously considering Cody Green.

Boy that Dontrayveous Robinson looks like a potential stud huh? That’s was the one silver-lining from last week: Nebraska’s depth at running back looks like it is better than we thought a week ago.

Look for a big game out of Jared Crick today. Baylor’s offensive line is over-matched. They know, you know it, and I know it. They’ll likely try everything they can to keep Ndamuhkhong Suh from dominating the game. If they do, Jared Crick will take advantage.

Let’s get this thing back on the winning track this week.
