Huskers Meet the Press at Big 12 Media Day

Lincoln - Coach Connie Yori and All-Big 12 forwards Kelsey Griffin and Cory Montgomery met the media at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday morning to tip-off the 2009-10 season at Big 12 Media Day.

Nebraska joined fellow Big 12 North teams Kansas and Iowa State, along with Big 12 South schools Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas Tech during the media events on Wednesday morning.

The Huskers' first scheduled event came at 9:45 a.m., when two-time first-team All-Big 12 pick Kelsey Griffin participated in the Student-Athlete Round Table. Griffin was joined by one player from each of the other five Big 12 schools in attendance at the morning session, in a lively half-hour discussion moderated by national television network commentator Debbie Antonelli.

Yori, Griffin and Montgomery also participated in one-on-one interviews from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., before breaking out to do television and radio interviews.
