NU to Host ?Strike Out Breast Cancer? Event on Sunday

The Nebraska softball team will wrap up its fall season by hosting a “Strike Out Breast Cancer” event on Sunday, Oct. 4, on the final day of the Big Red Fall Classic at Bowlin Stadium. Admission into the Big Red Fall Classic on both Saturday and Sunday is free.

 

The Huskers will wear pink T-shirts for the event, while the bases at Bowlin Stadium will also be pink. Action begins at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, the Huskers are scheduled to play Bellevue at 3 p.m. and UNO at 5:30 p.m. Prior to the UNO game, junior Heidi Foland will be presented with the Julie Geis Memorial Scholarship. On Saturday, junior Julie Brechtel will be presented with the Richard Raimondi Memorial Scholarship.
