On if it’s tough to look at this game as just another game

“It’s not hard, it just has a little more excitement under it. Obviously, two ranked teams going against each other on ABC, it’s just a little bit more hyped up is the way I see it.”

 

On how important it is to keep focused this week

“It’s definitely (important). There is going to be a lot of distractions here or there, so it’s very important for you to maintain your focus and hone into it that much more and make sure you’re really focued because there are going to be that (many) more added distractions to the game and everything.”

 

On if they think they can get to the quarterback this year

“We got to him last year so I don’t see why we can’t again.  It really all depends on us and how well we play.  As far as I’m concerned, it’s up to us on the front four to control him and keep him inside the pocket and when he does try and get out make sure he doesn’t.”

 

On what he hasn’t seen from the defensive line that he would like to see

“For the most part, I think we have progressed the way we are supposed to. There are small things here and there that we need to work on. It’s a continual process of getting better each week and finding things we didn’t do so well this week and work on that for the next upcoming week.”

 

On what he thinks of Virginia Tech’s running game

“Very potent.  There’s times where they definitely got some good yardage against (Marshall) and were very physical and a running down hill team.  Just like last week’s game (against Arkansas State), they wanted to come in here and run that ball. Virginia Tech is going to want to do that on their home field, so it’s going to be another challenge of going out there and trying to stop them.”
