The Nebraska men's golf team finished in second place at the Fairway Club Invitational Tuesday at ArborLinks Golf Course. Nebraska shot a 290 in the final round and finished three strokes behind Drake to capture its best team finish since March 2007.
Junior Andrew Wyatt led the Huskers with a career-best fourth-place tournament finish. Wyatt also set a career-low 54-hole score of 212 (-4) after scoring 73 in Tuesday's final round.
Scott Willman also recorded a career-best finish with a seventh-place performance. Willman's round of 73 gave him a total of 215 (-1), which matches his career best. Mike Coatman was one shot shy of Willman and tied for eighth.
Neil Dufford recorded a top-10 finish in his first collegiate tournament, tying for 10th place with a 217. Brandon Crick rounded out the Husker lineup, tying for 14th with a 218.
The Huskers are back in action Sept. 28-29 at the Kansas Invitational.
